Phil Dixon
Born in Cheshire in 1984, Phil has been fishing since he could walk. He caught his first fish on the fly aged 8. It was a grayling from the Welsh Dee, and that same river is still very special to Phil though he has broadened his fishing horizons greatly.
The competitive streak soon came to the fore and Phil won the Youth National aged 13 on his first visit to Rutland Water. He remains the only person to win 2 Youth Nationals. Phil also won the Airflo Classic (team and individual) the Troutmasters and qualified for the England Loch Style team all by the age of 18.
Phil is now a qualified angling coach, and has represented England 8 times, once as captain. His ambition is to gain selection at European and World level.
