Latest Season

Well how quick did that season want to go, one minute I'm stocking the lake for a brand new opening day and the next the weather has done a full circle and the lake is about to close. What a great season the fish have been playing the game all year and i have seen some of the best fish in my life, the fishery record brownie was broke in the first year what more could i have expected?

This week the fish have come on big time with a rod average of 4.4 and even 6.6 on one day, with all anglers taking good bags. Tony Kink was the top angler of the week taking 25 fish from the bank up to 4lb on his first trip back to the lake in 2 years. Tony said to me "What a day Phil and how things have changed for the best see you next year" Tony took the fish on a Minkie on a intermediate line fishing from Flamingo Bay all the way round to Bramble Bay. Flamingo bay has started to fill up with fish now and some cracking fish have been seen but not yet tempted. This is now the last week as the lake will close on the 30th November (Thursday) So get out your tackle and give us one more go before Christmas.

I would like to thank all of the anglers who have been willing to give Foremark another go this year, the season has been a good one but this wouldn't have been possible without the anglers so many thanks from myself and Graham. I have some great plans for the future of Foremark to make the Res the best fishery in the country, keep up to date with all that's going on at www.foremarktroutfishery.co.uk.

If you are interested in season tickets for next year then they will be on the website or you can contact the lodge 01283 703202.

Thank you all for fishing Foremark this year its been great, now hopefully the fish and yourselves will overwinter well and will be ready to go again for Opening day on the 1st March.

Have a good Christmas and a great New Year
Phil Dixon.
